Postcards From Rome And Costa Smeralda

Hello babes! Its good to be back after one month of travels, most of this trips were private… let’s say on vacation. I had the most amazing time doing one of my fave things… travel ( personal travels not work ones)!!! Instead of spending 2 weeks away from the blog I end up staying the all month of May away. Sometimes it’s good to be away from schedules, obligations and mainly work. Disconnect from everything and just do whatever you feel like.

This year we have started our Summer vacation in Italy. Sardinia and Rome where the destinations. We spent only one day in Rome as both of us have been in the city several times in the past. We took a direct TAP flight from LIS to ROME, both using our personal miles, but there are many low cost flights starting at the price of 40euros with companies like Easy Jet, Ryanair, Vueling … and many others.

We stayed at the Marriott Rome Grand Hotel Flora, perfectly located at Via Veneto. Walking distance from the main points like Fontana de Trevi (10minutes), Spanish Steps ( 15 minutes), Piazza Navona, Vatican and so on.

I’m sharing a small gallery of photos and hope you like it!

After spending one day in Rome we departed to our second destination: Sardinia for the beautiful Costa Smeralda. I have been travelling to Sardinia every single year for the last 8 years. Its definitely one of my fave destinations in Europe. Beautiful island with breathtaking views and clear waters, it’s named Costa Smeralda.

We took a flight with Alitalia from ROME to OLBIA, only 45 minutes and at the airport we had a transportation waiting for us arranged by the hotel. We stayed in the fabulous beach Hotel ABI d’ORU in Porto Rotondo, only 20 minutes from the airport, from the old city of OLBIA and around 25 minutes from the famous Marina of Porto Cervo.

The hotel is a beautiful property in a Mediterranean style surrounded by private gardens, a private beach, 4 restaurants, spa and many other facilities. I highly recommend this hotel either for family vacations, with friends or a romantic gateway.

Hope you like today’s post and if you still look for a beautiful spot for your vacation, Sardinia it’s always a good option.

Thanks for stopping by and for reading!

XOXO Ines
