Port Douglas, Australia
If you follow me on Instagram and on Fb, you know that recently I was on vacation in New Zealand, see post HERE and in Australia, Port Douglas Queensland.
Port Douglas is just one hour north, driving, from Cairns. With a beautiful coastal road, surrounded in one side by a spectacular forest and on the other by an amazing coral sea. Famous to be the home of the Great Barrier Reef and the amazing Daintree where you can have an idea of Australia’s past and Cape Tribulation. Perfect for sailing, snorkeling and diving, or just to relax, presenting yourself with a daily massage in one of the amazing Resorts and Spas around Port Douglas.
We do love Sailing! So the first thing we did when we arrived in PD, was looking for Sailing trips. We heard the sunsets were absolutely amazing, and seeing it from a boat was even more spectacular. For this sailing trip we use Tropical Journeys, and we had the pleasure of sailing in the beautiful and luxurious catamaran Aquarius. Tropical Journeys has a huge offer for those who love all the sea activities. Highly recommended!
Pullman Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort & Spa
We stayed at Pullman Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort & Spa. It’s a five star resort, located on Four Mile beach, just 10minutes driving by car from Port Douglas. Mainly studios and apartments, the resort welcomes the guests with one of the largest lagoon pools, modern Australian dining in the amazing Restaurant “Aqua”, spa treatments and if you want to enjoy a cocktail at sunset, the pool bar its perfect for the moment. The hotel has a service of shuttles ( different companies) to take you to the city, it’s a 10 minute ride and we highly recommend to buy a 15Aus Dollar pass, unlimited trips and valid for 7 days.
