Hope you’re all having a great time. As some of you know and if you follow me on Instagram, I ‘ve been doing a little trip in Europe during this week. I started in Paris and I didn’t had much time so I decided to something different from what I usually do in Paris, escaping a little bit from the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Louvre…but instead visiting the famous neighborhood of Montmartre.
Montmartre is very famous today because of the Basilica of the Sacre-Coeur, right on top of the hill and for the little streets full of restaurants and souvenirs stores, but in the old times, Belle Epoque this neighborhood was the house of many artists and their studios…Claude Monet, Piet Mondrian, Vincent van Gogh, Picasso among others.
Where to stay…of course at the lovely and very French style and old charm Hotel Le Relais Montmartre, situated in the heart of picturesque neighborhood, near the Sacre-Coeur and Place du Tertre.
If you want to stop for a little snack or a decent meal while you’re visiting, its a must at the Creperie Broceliande for one of those delicious “crepes”. The selection is just amazing, from sweet to salty A to Z, you have to go there. Enjoy!!
There’s a place that I highly recommend for a good dinner, L’Enoteca, its not at Montmartre but at 4th district “the Marais district”, not far from the Cathedral Notre-Dame. Its Italian cuisine, but honestly to me, its a mix of French and Italian cuisine.
I hope you enjoy “Paris”, in a different visit from the usual points. Its a beautiful city, no matter where you go and there’s so much to see, visit, always something new happening! If you have the chance its a must to go. Enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by and for reading.
